I'm Bibek, a product designer.
Led design at reAlpha (previously Naamche), before that four years at Leapfrog. These days I'm building omanote, a single canvas for the day's notes, todos and bookmarks.
My title has changed with every role and every new tool. The hard partGetting a room full of people to agree on what problem we're actually solving. Still undefeated. hasn't moved an inch: figuring out what's actually worth building.

How I got here
Visual artist first, product designer since.
About a decade ago I started out making digital art. Everything since has been shaped by the people I got to work with along the way.
Visual artist
Digital artwork and paintings, photobashing images to bring my ideas to life. You can find some of them on my Instagram.
Graphic designer
Took that eye for visual art into client graphic design work -- posters, brand identity, motions and videos.
Product designer
Built an OKR platform from 0 to 1 at LeapfrogCase study in the works and redesigned a healthcare workforce product for Laudio. Then led design on the AI-powered homebuying experience at reAlpha.
Founder, builder and volunteer
Building my own tools, omanote and omakey, and in 2024 launched a Dashain and Tihar themed playing cards brand, Taas by Patterns. Also volunteering with design communities like Design Community Nepal and Design Ka Kura, and teaching design thinking to students through NGOs and institutes.

Three things I keep coming back to.
Values picked up working with people and learning things the hard way. What I build is those values showing up in practice.
Don’t marry your design.
Falling in love with your own work is the fastest way to stall it. Detachment is what makes feedback, iteration, and actual collaboration possible.
5 mantras I grew up with as a product designerThe tool was never the differentiator.
Photoshop, Figma, now AI. First obsession, then normalisation. What is left when everyone has the same tool is judgment, taste, and product thinking.
Is it always about the tool?Growth does not happen in isolation.
Staying inside your own head feels safe — you’re your own critic, your own admirer. But real growth only starts once you let someone else into your bubble.
